Known as the “Crookedest Street in the World,” Lombard Street is one of San Francisco’s most popular landmarks. Every year, millions of visitors walk or drive down its eight sharp hairpin turns. Surrounded by Russian Hill mansions and perfectly manicured landscaping and flowers, it is also one of the city’s most scenic streets.

This photo was taken from the top of Lombard Street at night capturing light trails from a car descending. In the distance you can see Coit Tower and the Bay Bridge.

Born and residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Laura Macky is a photographer whose primary focus is on landscapes, although you can find her photographing other subjects such as flowers and architecture now and again.
